Got a link to the part? The manual on the support site is still 3.1 from Dec 13th.. So what manual are you referring too.

Cheers.. i get it now.. I found the list of parts but couldn't work out which was the "new" one.. Then I noticed the date column...

So its this one:

I would like to print this before I do my MK3 build, but can currently only print in PLA on my Printrbot.. Does this part of the heatbed get hot? Would PLA work?

I would not do PLA if you ever intend to do ABS/PETG/etc. Just print it after you build the mk3. Where that cover is, its not hard to switch it.

I am just printing this thing

Had to split the file in Meshmixer because there is no common first layer for the two parts. I created an issue in GitHub...

Or was that just me?

You could shop 3dhubs for some higher temp options. I've not ordered anything myself but I've priced a few things and they are much more reasonable than shapeways since it basically just hobbyists like us.

Just flip the parts over to sit on their flat faces?
