Need some help with print quality.

Hi all. I have printed one Groot model, but did not came out as expected.

There are single layers not sticking....

And some waves and even hole in the eye....

The last 2-3 cm are ok... maybe because the speed was not that high. The print was with 7200 speed.

but the S-Hooks are perfect.

There is link from the hooks.
Can you help me with some advices, how to improve my prints?
Thank you!

Re: Need some help with print quality.

What slicer are you using and it looks like your Z is too close. The corner on your bottom layer is curling up and looks too busy.

Re: Need some help with print quality.

Which slicer you are using has a lot to say as Sluc3r consequently overextrudes by about 5%. This has been detailed a fair bit before. You look to be overextruding, which is why I'm pointing it out.
Try to reduce your extrusion multiplyer in 1% ticks on calibration cubes until you find a sweet spot.

Is your cooling on 100%? This usually helps with PLA prints.

Are your outlines running at 120 mm/s (7200 mm/min)? That is usually considered too high for good quality. Many people seem to find success around 30-35mm/s for the outer most outline.

Also, counterintuitively, you could try a lower layer height to get more consistent layers. PLA likes lower layers as it squishes out more consistently. My Benchy's consequently come out better at 0,15 mm than at 0,2.

EDIT: Since you're using S3D there's a fair few FFF profiles over in the Simplify3D thread you can try out. The latest ones are getting pretty good now.
