initial Z axis calibration fails [fully assembled]

Hello,

I purchased a fully assembled Prius MK3, and seem to be having problems
with the Z Axis calibration.

It moves the head to the top, and then it moves it back down to the
bottom. The split second it reaches the bottom it displays the message
"Calibration failed! Check the axes and run again."

I have run the self tests, which all pass.

With Google, I have found other people that seem to have the same problem, but no resolution.

Any ideas?

Regards

Check the height of the z probe. Should only be able to fit a zip tie underneath it when the nozzle is touching the bed.

The nozzle wasn't going down far enough to touch the bed. I increased the height of the nozzle by about 1mm, and now the nozzle touches the metal bed before the calibration fails in the same way. There is enough room now to insert the white zip tie underneath the z probe. Is this an improvement?

Is the nozzle suppose to touch the bed during Z calibration?

Is the nozzle suppose to touch the bed during Z calibration?

No I don't think so. I wouldn't have touched the Nozzle. The printer had a successful print before leaving the Prusa warehouse. The reason I mentioned to adjust the probe is because mine was pushed up too high in shipping from the foam placed under the nozzle.

Try to adjust the nozzle back into the original position without damaging anything, then reloading the B150 firmware.

If that doesn't help, contact support via Live Chat.

I believe my problems were caused because I incorrectly put the reel holder on the front, not the back, and it may have been catching something.

Printer now working correctly.
