How to achieve more consistent prints?

Problem: I have prints going great, but often I get a wall that prints thin on 1 or 2 different layers. It’s noticeable and it often breaks at those thin layers. I can see through those layers. I’m trying to print 1 and 1.5 mm walls.

It’s frustrating because it typically happens 3/4 of the way through print job.

My print settings: I’m using slic3r and using preprogrammed settings (1.0 detailed). I’ve been printing at speed 190. I know it’s fast but the prints are great except the thin walls that occur more than I like.

Thank you in advance!

Check always each layer in the Sli3er preview. You can exactly see how many perimeters the printer will print.
For each model and filament you might need to adjust the sli3er settings. This is something grow with more experience.

If you have a question to a specific model/example, feel free to post pics of this.

What filament are you using? This sounds like an example of under-extrusion.

Hi, I'm Sean. I used to work on CNC machines.
I try to not make mistakes, but the decision is YOURS.
Please feel free to donate to my filament/maintance fund.
