First print failure

I just got my i3 MK3 on Monday (LOVE IT!), and had my first failure last night. If anybody has any ideas, share them 😀

I'm currently re-printing the same print, with the same settings. It is much farther than it made it last night.

Simplify3D
50 micron

All other settings are the same as the "High" setting within Simplify3D.

Re: First print failure

Looks like the model did not stick to the bed. Try cleaning your bed with alcohol before printing.

A couple things:

1. Alcohol cleaning before printing is important. Jose.04 got that one.
2. Bed temps. I use 50C with PLA to decrease warpage and increase plate adhesion.
3. First layer height - probably the most common issue, but should be mitigated by the MK3 calibration.

Re: First print failure

Hi Justin,

could we see the other side of the benchy where it was on the bed please?

it may help identify the actual issue!
