➡ yes, it's interesting from the general point of view.

😕 related to our prusa i3 MK2(S) where this forum is meant for, with it's given MK42 heatbed (that contains the reference points for the x/y calibration) it's a little less relevant.

🙄 ok, the idea of using a second power supply, simply to provide more power (due to a higher voltage) to the heatbed is a good one (even not a new one), electronics needs to be altered then as well.... your description is one way to do so. 😐

but our MK42 heatbed has it's limits about the heating capabilities and at a price of about 120 € per MK42 spare part (incl. p&p) I'm personally not willing to explore the amount of current we need, where the copper paths inside our heatbed will nuke. 👿
