Cancelling on Heat Up

On a couple of occasions I have had to stop my printer from the warm up process and both times the hotend moves out of the way which is no problem, but the print bed moves as far forward as it can, which is over the top of the LCD but does so and keeps doing so with that horrible grinding noise it makes. I know its minor, but a little tweak on this for us people who occasionally realise they may have exported with the wrong filament type and need to cancel would be great 😳

Re: Cancelling on Heat Up

I have seen noisy misbehaviour like this during many manually aborted prints. Not just Y-axis.

I found a workaround that seems to mostly prevent this (too early to tell if it prevents it all the time, but mostly at least);

Select "Pause Print" first and leave it for a few seconds. If it is already printing, then leave it alone after 'Pause print' until the extruder actually stops moving. That can take take much longer than expected at times, probably depending on how long it takes to execute the last movement command.

Try waiting 10 sec after 'Pause print', then select 'Stop print' and confirm it. If it still rattles, wait longer in Pause mode next time.
