Wavy wall along the Y axis similar to ghosting but equal amplitude along the whole wall.

Printer Prusa MK3S

I've had this issue since the beginning. but it was more or less prominent depending on the filament and at the begining i wasn't paying attention as much.

It's also visible on walls not exactly aligned with Y axis but the more aligned with Y it is the more prominent it becomes. It's not dependent on the infill.

This was printed with variable layer height with most visible on the thinner layers but it's eaisly felt on the thicker layers as well.

Any hints on what might be wrong? Or even how is that sort of artifact called so I could google it?

VFA - usually caused by belt tension, pulleys , or motor issues ( there is a huge VFA thread here that determined the best cure for the remaining VFAs after belt and pulley were fixed was using 0.9deg motors)

@david-a66

Thanks! Now i know what to look for. I know the frequency of the wave changes with belt tension. But If i go too low i get big ghosting and skips. I've changed idlers to toothed ones. I was thinking about platform chattering when in motion. But i'll look for clues in that thread!

Big thanks!
