Supports

Afternoon

I'm after a bit of help with some of my prints, when I have to use supports the first layer of the part from the support up can be poor when flat (see picture). Hoping someone knows how I can sort this out as its letting down some of my prints?

RE: Supports

The default setting for supports in prusa slicer needs to be changed for the contact Z distance to removable like the attached picture shows.  No idea why it defaults to 0.1 but it does...  adjusting the interface layers can help as well.  if you hover your cursor over the input boxes in prusa slicer it will bring up a content menu with additional info.

This post has some good suggestions as well..  https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-mk3-how-do-i-print-this-printing-help/problems-with-removing-support-structure-petg-picture-attached/

Strange women, laying in ponds, distributing swords, is hardly a basis for a system of governance!

RE: Supports

I'm currenty working through loads of trials to see which work the best, the higher the contact Z the worse the prints are. By the look of it I might just improve it slightly.
