Support & Finish Issues

I recently purchased a Mk3S+ and have been doing battle with the slicer, (  been using Cura for years ) particularly with the support.  Another forum member directed me to the thread about support and I saw bobstro's post.  ( Link for entire thread.. and it's a good read

  https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/prusaslicer/prusaslicer-hard-to-remove-supports/

I chose the elephant file on Prusa's site because of the tusks overhang and despite numerous attempts following bob's suggestions I wasn't able to get a successful print.  Not one to give up I tried and failed many times until I discovered my heat setting for the PLA was set at 215.  I turned it down to 200 and ended up with a print I could actually remove the support from.  Thanks for that bobstro.

I do have two questions if I may...

1 -   Even though I could remove the support it wasn't as easy as I'd like.  How do I make the support " thinner " so it detaches easier?

2 - The finish didn't turn out as sooth as others I've seen and I don't know why.  A screenshot of the gcode breakdown is attached.

Elephant

TIA

I couldn't attach the second pic without it overlapping the text so here it is.
