Random Banding problem

Hello all, I am looking for some help with random banding.  I am new to this and have an I3 MK3S.  Anyway, I have seemingly random banding on different prints.  I have included one picture with three of the same objects printed from different batches.  The left has little/no banding and the right two do have banding.  I am printing multiple copies at the same time in an enclosure and all of the prints within a batch have the identical banding.  I have checked the belt tensions and they seem okay. Your help is appreciated.  I am using Prusa filament with mostly the recommended settings.

That looks like a layer shift and not banding.  While your belt tension may be correct the first thing I would check are that the 2 grub screws on the belt pulleys are tightened correctly.  If they arent then that can lead to problems as pictured.  When tightening them you MUST tighten the screw against the flat of the motor shaft first and it must be perfectly aligned to the flat before tightening up the seconf grub screw which lock everything in place.

Okay, I'll try that.  Am I correct is assuming it would either be the X or Y?  Sorry for the basic questions.

Alright, I checked the Y and it looked good.  I checked the X and both the set screw and the grub screw were loose!  I'll try another print now and hopefully that's it.

I hope it turns out to be that as it’s a pretty simple fix 🙂
