PVA Blobbing at initial extrusion - NO SUCCESS !

Hi All,

I have recently acquired a new i3 MK3S + MMU2S (latest FW 3.8.1 & 1.0.6-372). I have done many successful PLA prints incl multi filament material (co-mold) builds and also the multi-colour function on the one part (cool !). I'm now progressing into flex & PVA materials which having 0% success and to cancel every print to clean nozzle & sometimes unblock extrudes head feeder. Everytime I attempt to print with flex or PVA it loads and extrudes successfully but as it extrudes it just sits there (no transversing) generating a big blob to eventually clog up extruder head feeder if I dont cancel print in time. I have attempted this many times trying diff settings in PrusaSlicer 2.2.0 (ie PrimaSelect PVA+, Verbatim BVOH & Prusament PLA). I have tried tweaking extruder temps, fan cooling, print speeds and other things like calibrating extruder head feeder sensor. I've had no success at all and would really love help on this topic

Thanks

RE: PVA Blobbing at initial extrusion - NO SUCCESS !

Unfortunately I cannot offer any suggestions (yet), but I can tell you that you are not alone. I am here looking for a solution to the exact same problem. Admittedly I have never encountered blobbing before on my CR-10 or my i3 pre-MMU upgrade. So this is new to me.

Has anyone ever encountered the blobbing of any type of filament at the end of the nozzle? If so, what troubleshooting steps did you take to correct the issue?
