PrusaSlicer bug slicing Pela Block socket panel?

Not sure if I've stumbled onto a slicer bug or what.  Thought I'd ask.

I'm using PrusaSlicer-2.1.0+-201909160907 to work with models from the Pela Blocks project.  I've calibrated and etc, and generated a smaller socket panel for testing and etc by editing PELA-socket-panel.scad, exporting the STL file from OpenSCAD and importing it into PrusaSlicer.

When I print it, one of the holes is occluded.

Here's what it looks like after slicing:

Here's what it looks like when I import it (which matches what I see in OpenSCAD):

I've attached the STL file.

g.

Hmm, would allow me to attach the stl file.   Perhaps if I hide it in a tar file.....

Ok, can't seem to attach the STL file.  Sigh....  Open to suggestions.

Here's a link to the file, temporarily hosted: https://shrimp.alerce.com/tmp/PELA-socket-panel.stl

Hi George, if you ZIP the STL, you can then attach the zip file

"One or more of your objects are invalidly defined" according to 3D Builder.

Open your STL file with 3D Builder (a free Microsoft tool).

Import the object. 3D Builder will find that error. Let it fix it.

Save your file. It will replace your original.

Now when you slice, it will be perfect.

Let's try attaching a zip file.

Don't have anything that'll run 3d-builder.  If the stl file is "bad", then I assume this is an OpenSCAD bug?

@robert-rmm200 -- Can you diff the before and after versions of the STL file and see what's been changed?

@george-h9

Above my pay grade. But I can upload my "fixed" stl.

Why on earth do people post files in foreign-to-most-OS files. ZIP is the format. bin, jar, rar, gx, .ztar, 7zip, and similar formats are NOT common for 90% of the computer users in the world.  May as well not post them.

And, if you take to time to post something, at lease verify the file you are posting isn't empty. While I enjoy the occasional foo-bar, a bar folder is not exactly useful.

I've opened an issue about this on the OpenSCAD site: https://github.com/openscad/openscad/issues/3114

Thanks for the upload.  For some reason, I thought that these were text file that were diffable, but they don't appear to be.  Sorry for the noise.

Tim, what are you going on about?

Nothing posted in this topic, by anyone, was empty...

Just curious - what is a "bar folder"?

FWIW, the folks over in OpenSCAD world don't seem to think that there's any problem with the STL file that's being exported.  Details here: https://github.com/openscad/openscad/issues/3114

Tim - I found your Bar folder, posted by the OP. Makes more sense now.

I remeshed that one octagon surface and the problem went away; but Meshmixer didn't flag anything.

Tim, apologies.  I'm a long-time unix user, my goto format, for a very long time, has been compressed tar files.  zip files are my odd men out.

I did, indeed, screw up when I created the file I initially posted in my GitHub issue.  Like I said, not a regular zip-per.  I'm human, I guess....   I dropped the file into a throw-away sub-directory because it drives me nuts when unpacking archive files mixes up their contents with the current dir's bits.

Thanks for poking at it.

Does that point to a bug in the OpenSCAD output, or ???
