Printing with FLEX issue

I am having a significant issue printing with FLEX. My print job starts and prints the first few layers (2-4) and then the extruder quits supplying material. When I stop the job and remove the filament I get what looks like the filament was wrapped around the filament gears (see picture below). I am just plain stumped as to what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Cheers

Kent

RE: Printing with FLEX issue

Hi,

I've not started to print flex yet, here is a good place to start.

MK3s Stock, PS2.3, Fusion360, Debian, Windows 10.

You may want to look into other versions of the extruder.
The  filament path is not aligned in the Prusa extruder, giving extra resistance below the gears.  I updated to the BearExxa  (with a pullybox).  I print Ninjaflex without issue.

There are also Skelestruder and Bunny Science versions you can look at.

Another thought, since you didn't mention it.
The Bondtech gears need to be as loose as possible.  Just  tight enough to grip the filament. No tighter.

contrary to popular belief you can print with FLEX(Ninjaflex at least), I do It all the time. I have a configuration file you can download in fact.

To import it you can open PrusaSlicer, navigate to File> import > import Config bundle. Then just chose my file, and adjust your idler to where the end of the bolt and nut are even. Good Luck!

@layden-lee234

There is an access denied error in trying to access the configuration file??
