PETG 0.6 nozzle print artifacts?

I started using 0.6 nozzle (triangle labs brass) to speed up printing using 0.4 layer height but recently it's getting more and more problematic - here's story:

PETG Prusa Orange, 0.6 nozzle, 0.4 layer height, 30% first layer speed and textured bed

Those corners look wierd to me, I know it's 0.6 nozzle and 0.4 layer but well I cleaned extruder, leveled bed, put silicone sock, played with temps and nothing helps.

0.4 mm layer height is not a problem for a 0.6 mm nozzle. From your pictures I'm pretty positive that your live Z is incorrect, too low.

@fuchsr

agreed.  I just recalibrated z for all my filament types because I switched to the satin steel sheets and that's what you see when your z is too low.

I could be mistaken, but I think that's the top of the print guys, and that it's pillowing.

@cpu

if I'm correct, what does the infill look like?

@swiss_cheese yes top of the print.

So reduced extrusion to 0.90 results below:

And now first layer (was -1.090 and this photo is -0.990) with extrusion on 0.9:

@cpu

If it's pillowing, in this case I'm going to guess it's because of insufficient cooling, either because your laying down to much plastic to fast not allowing enough time for the last layer to cool, or that perhaps not enough cool air is being provided to the extrusion as its laid. other causes can be insufficient amount of infill usually in conjunction with one of the aforementioned cooling issues.

Anyway back to work, good luck

unfortunately I don't have a .6mm nozzle to try any prints with.  Is this something you can post your .3mf file for so we can see what your other settings are?   Like how much infill, infill pattern how many top layers, etc

unfortunately because @cpu is a new forum user his posts have been delayed, making it very difficult to keep up with whats going on.

from the look of the photos that they finally allowed to post, it seems that you have figured it out.

hopefully we were of some help,

Enjoy

Thanks for pointing me into right direction - it sums out that I had to tweak extrusion multiplier (high humidity I guess as this summer is really wet) and first layer to get things right, before I came to this point I went through all checks like bed level (+ leveling mod), inspected bondtech gears, tried different PEI etc.

Below result of fine tunning - for me like a night and day
