Overhang Problems

All overhang structures have some level of distortion. Any suggestions to solve this? I have prusament PLA, 0.4 mm nozzle and mk3s printer.
Thank you.

RE: Overhang Problems

Reducing print speed, improving object cooling, reducing print temperature, they all can help. Basically the freshly laid down plastic hasn't had enough time to cool and curls upwards as it slowly cools, next time the nozzle comes over, it hits that curled up part and melts it (if printed slow enough), but that also moves it out of its original position, or the nozzle can crash right into the curled up part. If it is the latter it can actually dislodge the print from the bed and cause you to print some spaghetti.

I guess the easiest thing is try lower print speed and/or print temperature. Also make sure your cooling is set to 100% fan after the first layer. Essentially giving the object fan more time to cool the freshly printed plastic.

If that doesn't work you can also try a different shroud. Of all the shrouds I've tested, and I've tested a lot, RH_Dreambox's shroud ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4124587 ) seems to actually make a small noticable difference.  I'm currently testing this dual fan set up ( https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3697665 ), but you have to do some rewiring etc...
