Out of filament issue?

Hi,

I am a newby, so if this is already answered I am sorry to do it again.

I think I have build my mk3s correctly (firmware 3.7.2-2370), I did the testing and calibration. Corrected my PINDA / z axis with -2.100 ( which is high I think). The thing is, it is printing the zig zag print at the end of calibration (Z axis). But when I load a file, it starts the 9 point calibrating, spits out some filament (right bottom corner), start printing (left bottom corner). So far so good (I guess) but then it stops with telling me nothing but to change the filament. When looking in the log it thinks it is out of filament. When continuing the filament reload process, it stops each time with the same mentioned question: Refill filament.

Am I doing something wrong or did I build something wrong?

thx

Robert

Disable the filament sensor ... if this fixes the problem then start diagnosing the failure.

Contacting Prusa support via chat is best.  They are paid to help troubleshoot problems.  And, if they don't hear from customers Prusa has no incentive to fix known issues.

And a blog post about the issue, basically blaming the customer for a problematic design:
