New 1st Layer Issue -- Never seen on any other print...help!

Hello and thanks for looking at this post 🙂

I've had my printer for some time and I've never seen this issue before (see attached 1st layer photo). Basically, it prints beautifully until the last ~10% (left side of the print) where it starts to look "loose" and not tight like the rest of the 1st layer. Any idea on why this might be happening? Please let me know if you need any more info -- I'm on the i3 Mk3 with the latest firmware.

Thank you so much!!

Enable 7x7 mesh bed leveling if you haven't already. It's always hard to precisely interpret a pic, but it l0oks like you're getting a wee bit of under extrusion on the left side. When this happens, I just lower (make more negative) my Live-Z setting by 0.04mm or so and things usually even out. There's a range at which you'll get good results. Just make sure the right side isn't overly squished.

If your bed has warped, you might want to try one of the manual leveling procedures. The Nylock mod might be worth doing if it's a serious issue, but yours doesn't look so bad.

The spring steel sheet is removable and can flex over time, so you might just try flipping it to see what difference that makes.

@bobstro

Success! I switched to the 7x7 mesh, but was still having the same issue. I went ahead and started tweaking the manual leveling and offset the left side by -30 + a little z adjustment overall and now the first layer looks better than I've ever seen 🙂

Again, thank you so much for the detailed info -- big help!
