Inconsistent first layer around the perimeters

Printing a long narrow part with PETG on the Satin sheet and noticed that the first layer has a different look along the edges. I thought I had a pretty dialed in Live Z (using Life Adjust method). The part honestly looks pretty good in person (you can barely see the layer lines, but the camera makes them much more noticeable).

Curious what causes this inconsistency around the perimeters?

I've not gotten my hands on a satin sheet, is it thinner than the smooth.  Seems like you could go slightly lower.

I agree with @ssill2 a little lower on the Z

@ssill2

I'm supposed to be getting one Tuesday along with an order of parts I'll let you know.

I love the sheet so far. Everything sticks well and releases easily when it cools.

The sheet is about the same thickness as the textured, maybe a bit thinner. My Z on textures is -1.595 and I think this print on satin was -1.610.  For me the texture sheet is about 0.3 lower than smooth sheet

I’ll take it a little lower and see what that does.

@ 0.3mm thinner does that  mean the live z should be 0.15 lower?

The satin sheet are awesome. I found everything to stick to them no problem, and when cooled down it just pops off. I've tried PETG, PLA, ABS, and PC Blend so far.

Relative to the smooth sheet, I found I had to lower Live Z about 0.4, very close to what the textured sheets needed.

@fuchsr

Have you found you needed to use a release on the satin sheet or you just going on raw with the, PETG, ABS and PC Blend?

For PC Blend I used glue stick, just in case.  Nothing for other materials. I mostly print PETG. It sticks firmly but once the sheet cools down it just pops off.

@fuchsr - have you tried windex as a release? - glue sounds so messy

I've used windex with PETG and the smooth sheets. With PC Blend I stick with Prusa's suggestion to use glue stick. I just go across the print area for the model twice, at 90 degree angle. And it comes off easily with hot water and soap.
