Filament click

I have had my printer for a few months.  It worked fine until the nozzle clogged, which I had to replace.  Since that change, the extruder motor begins clicking once it warms up (about 20-30 minutes into a print).  I can remove and reload the filament with no problem thereafter.  But this is clearly a thermal issue (either mechanical or in the software).  As such, I have replaced the block, breaker, and nozzle (with a larger filament).  I have: (1) recalibrated everything that can be recalibrated; (2) reinstalled the firmware (or updated as appropriate); (3) tried all four filaments; and (4) followed these suggestions exactly ( https://help.prusa3d.com/article/oqpnu51iy6-extruder-clicking). Yet the problem remains.  After troubleshooting for months, I am about ready to take a sledgehammer to it!

Any suggestions?

RE: Filament click

When replacing the nozzle, did you very carefully follow the E3D nozzle replacement procedure? Often, mistakes are made when putting things back together: nozzle too deep into heat break, improperly tightened/torque nozzle, etc.

You may want to review the E3D documents on V6 nozzle replacement and V6 assembly, see if anything suggests you missed a step.

Yes, I followed this procedure, but, looking at the assembly, the gap between the block and nozzle might be too large.  Let me try and narrow the gap.  Thanks for the suggestion.  Much appreciated!
