Don't Travel over small holes?

Is there an option to tell Prusa Slicer to not travel over small holes?

I am printing in PETG and stringing happens. I can usually clean the parts adequately. But very small holes (1mm to 4mm in size) are especially difficult to clean.

Its there an option to tell Prusa Slicer to not travel over small holes so that they don't get filled with strings? For example, if Prusa Slicer moved over printed path instead of holes there would be less cleaning?

Or, are there other settings that tend to manage stringing?

I think the option you need is "Avoid crossing perimiters".

Might be under advanced or expert settings tab.

That sounds like an interesting option. I did see it, but the help tip on what it did was quite vague, more resembling a fortune cookie than a full description.

Anybody care to explain what it does?

You might try reading the manual.

It is always wise to get more than one opinion......

It is also possible (even likely) that I did read the manual first and that the description int he manual did nothing more than copy the tip-help which failed to describe the feature. As I mentioned it was "more resembling a fortune cookie than a full description"

Anybody care to explain what "Avoid crossing perimiters" actually does?

RE: Don't Travel over small holes?

From what i have observed in my prints (i use PS 2.2.0 with my Tevo - prints only petg atm) and think of it like cost of travel/movement:

Passing outer perim = 50 points

Passing inner perm = 30 points

Passing infill = 10 points

Movement inside the same part/object it usually travels over infill.

Movement between parts/objects i think it moves to inner perims nearest exit point, then exits part1 and over to part2.

I'm not very sure, but i think if you have aligned seem enabled, it will position the seams of multiple objects to require shortest possible travel outside parts.

I have not dug closer into the gcode generated, not indepth manual or sourcecode. Only from my own observations.
