ABS or PETG for fan shroud?

Hi,

I need to print a new part cooling fan shroud for my Mk3 as the old one is a bit deformed by heat out at the tip and causing some layer issues. I have PETG on hand, but would ABS be better for a part that will get heat soaked? Is there a better choice?

Thanks!

ABS is better and good enough, or a even higher temperature filament.

Petg is not good.

I just ordered some of the PC blend for this.  It's arrived but I have not had the opportunity to try it yet.  I plan on printing both the stock one and that new version referred to in another thread before I take down the printer for this replacement and a few other minor tweaks.

Hi,

I've ordered some black ABS, should be here in a week. Until then PETG will have to do.

What is PC? Polycarbonate?

Thanks!
