X axis “crack”Noise
  • IMG_0172
  • hi. I have x axis with a crack noise when moving. I checked the bearings and packed them
  • with grease. The noise was reduced for about 1 hour printing work. After that the noise come again. What could I do. Maybe new bearings ? The printer is quite new with 26 working hours. Thanks.

you're sure that's not the extruder clicking?

RE: X axis “crack”Noise

I heard a cracking noise, too. Turned out to be the filament rubbing vertically against the spool. If the filament between the spool and the extruder is somewhat taut, then X-axis movements will rub the filament across the pool, making that cracking noise. Untangling the spool so that the filament can roll out freely helped in my case. Not sure if you have the same problem.
