Unwanted filament changes

I am using Slicer 2.3.0 and firmware 3.9.3 on my MK3S. I keep having a problem where the printer will stop printing and beep until I "change the filament". Of course, I don't really change the filament, because it doesn't need changing. I'm beginning to suspect a hardware problem. Has anyone else had this problem?

RE: Unwanted filament changes

This sounds like a filament sensor problem.

Try disabling the sensor (in Settings) for a couple of prints, if the problem doesn't recur you know the filament sensor needs calibration.

I disabled the filament sensor and the prints are coming out now without asking for filament changes. I guess I need to fix the sensor issue.

@scottm-2

Diagnosing the problem is half the job. Well done, and good luck with the fix.
