TMC DRIVER OVERTEMP

My I3 MK3S occasionally hits a TMC DRIVER OVERTEMP error. I can be while printing or in some cases several minutes after a print has finished just fine.

Room temperature is just below 27c. In support->temperatures highest ambient I have seen has been 38c.

Should I attach heatsinks to the TMC drivers? How about a fan on the electronics compartment? Passive airflow cant be very good with all the cables tugged in there.

Other suggestions?

Hmm, even when just sitting there, powered on, top of the box reaches almost 50c, measured on the outside. What is drawing power when printer is doing nothing but displaying temperatures on the LCD?

If the steppers are holding position then they use more current than if moving. Are they holding position ?

X and Y are free, but the two Z motors are engaged.

Added a fan under the electronics box, blowing upwards. Now reported ambient temperature tops around 33c

The Prusa knowledge base can sometimes be helpful.
I equipped my EinsyRambo with heat sinks (4 driver components) and a Noktua fan (40x40x20).

I supply all fans (extruder motor, Raspberry...) with an additional Meanwell PS (depending on 5V or 12V). I have enlarged the case for the EinsyRambo so that the components have more space.

So overall you were experiencing similar issues as I see on a stock setup and have been down the same path as I plan to go.

Good, that's at least confirming.
