Slicer: Self-constructed support omitted

Dear community, when I tried to slice this file https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:734951 (Easter egg top with thread) the slicer just ignores the outer construction being a support included in the object construction and only offers as slicing result a body which is impossible to print without support. If I activate support-construction, much too much supporting is added, including inside the egg.

I tried various setings, but either I get no supporting structure or much too much. Does anyone have any idea what setting might help or why the slicer just ignores the self-constructed support? In my eyes it should be regarded as "regular part" of the whole item, so i am a bit concerned that also in other cases the slicer would omit parts of the object.

Solution found! I tried some more changing the settings and it seems that "recognizing thin walls" was the parameter which caused the problem. This was not set in first place and after setting it, the support was included in the slicing.
