Simplify3D Experiences?

Hi,
Looking for people with experience with Simplify3d. I purchased Simplify3d because I was desperate for better support performance.

I tried using their out of the box Prusa i3 MK3 settings for a simple print, and can't get past the first layer (I suspect it has to do with their 200 degrees hot end temp for PLA).

It is very possible that I just found a bug, but the weekend is coming up so I'm not sure how much progress I'm going to make with their support staff.
If it is not a bug, am I expecting too much in the way of automatic performance from them? Should I expect to tinker a lot more with my settings in order to use their software? I'm used to everything being plug-and-play with Slic3r and Cura.

Thank you!

Re: Simplify3D Experiences?

Have you tried the Prusa-supplied profiles? I worked with them for several months with good success. There are also several user-contributed profiles that work well.

Re: Simplify3D Experiences?

It was plug and play for me. Worked from the first print.

Hopefully it was just a bug if it worked for someone out of the box.

I will also check out the Prusa supplied profiles.

Thank you all.

Thanks to everyone who responded. It turned out the model base was a bit misaligned and some tweaks were needed. Having a bit of trouble with heat bed sticking but nothing I can't work through I think. Haven't even tried Prusa's provided profile, will do so soon.
