Sequential Printing alternating between models

Hey!

I just stumbled upon the sequential printing feature of Slicer and had an idea about not only printing object after object, but also alternate between them, i would like to know if there is a possibility for this.

Imagine you have a Extruder clearance setting of 45mm radius and 30mm height.

Right now the Setting would print objects "completeley" before going to the next.

my idea is to alternate between objects as soon as they reach the height limit of 30mm ( in difference to each other) and with this alternating between the objects every 30mm.

In my mind, like this, it would be possible to print faster than just having multiple objects being printed simultaneaously layer by layer and you would have more freedom of printing high objects more near to each other.

Let me know if am completely wrong.

RE: Sequential Printing alternating between models

Interesting, but probably complex to implement.

The main reason sequential exists is so that you don't lose an entire plate of objects if one of them detaches or otherwise screws up, at the cost of some build space 🙂
