Replacement PTFE Tubes for MK3S

After printing for about 1 week, I had to replace my first PTFE tube (that was a bit scary).  Now I have only one spare.  The procedure for making your own looks a bit difficult (I don't have a drill bit like the one shown and how to shape the hot end feed end of the tube was not really covered.  I think I can purchase these in the Prusa e-shop (MK3S is not specifically listed as compatible though..) Even so, I will be paying a minimum of $12 to ship to US.  Is there any other place to buy these?  Is the make your own method easier than it appears?

Thanks for any suggestions!

What happened to the PTFE tube after 1 week?   Is there an issue with the MK3S design?

Thanks for your thoughts.

I doubt it, sounds more like a user error situation without any additional details. I'm still on my original PTFE, though I had to trim it down for the 3S extruder revision.

I'm not sure exactly (vintagepc seems to know...).  I tried to unload the filament and it did not pull out. Somehow it had solidified in the PTFE tube in the heat break, so I could not heat it up to remove it.   I followed the PRUSA instructions for how to fix and was eventually was led to disassemble the extruder and remove the tube.  Based on the fact that no has responded with ideas on how to get more PTFE tubes, it must not be a very common problem.  I've been very pleased with the printer once I got the first layer adjusted correctly - it produces really amazing prints.

Thanks for the details.  I have the Mk3 and the upgrade kit to Mk3s but haven't changed it out yet.  Wanted to know if there was a reason to hold off.

Thanks,

John
