Rambo board or thermistor problem causing mintemp error?

Hi all. I have a Prusa MK3S

I started getting a mintemp error where the temperature for the hotend was approximately 10°C lower than the ambient temperature for the heatbed. I was also getting an error where prints were failing on the second layer due to thermal loss.

So I ordered a new thermistor from somewhere here in Australia. I've tried to install it, but it's still not working. I have a new hotend on the way from Prusa, and I've tried a new hotend heating element. I'm pretty sure the error lies with the thermistor.

I got a multimeter and started testing things. When I check the voltage of the 2 pins where the thermistor should go, I get no reading. Every other connector reads about 5 volts.

I think I've stuffed the Rambo board. Most likely from trying to pull out the connector from the thermistor.

Just to clarify, there's no way to fix the Einsy Rambo board is there? If one of the connectors doesn't send power to it's part, it needs to be replaced?

Thanks for your help guys. First time posting, and much appreciate all of your knowledge.

Jonathan

For this one, I would contact the support Chat.  This is especially true if you are in the Warranty period.

@cwbullet

Okay thank you for the advice. I will do that.

I'm pretty sure I'm outside my warranty period though.

They may still be able to provide guidance.  I have had to replace on controlled board.  For $100, it is not worth burning down my house.  I chose to replace rather than repair.

Okay, thank you for the advice Chuck. I've messaged Prusa support. Should I update this post with their response?

@cwbullet

I used the contact us page here: https://shop.prusa3d.com/en/contact-us

Where is the chat feature? I couldn't find it on the website.

Edit - Nevermind, I found it!
