Purpose of Hole in X Carriage

I've noticed that the wires of the heater cartridge kinda sag on my printer, and also noticed a hole in the x-carriage that doesn't seem to be used for anything. It's right next to where the heater wires go through the x carriage, and is the perfect size for a ziptie. Was this hole originally intended to be used to secure the wires with a zip tie?

Well well well

I guess I wasn't the only one to notice it. BUT. The only reason I did was cause I'm in the middle of upgrading my Mk2. If you don't know, the mk3S/+ and maybe even the mk3 all this time don't use endstops. Well, I learned that after finally putting the assembled extruder on the frame 🙃. Looked at what i could do, saw the hole there, and noticed it lines up with the stock endstop location -ish... Put in an m3x12mm socket cap screw and what do you know, my endstop is clicking and now also adjustable. Prusa team if you are reading this, whoever thought of it, assuming that is what it's supposed to be for, I'm thankful I didnt waste Onyx and HSHT glass fiber on incompatible parts 🤣
