Print from SD contents not updating after adding file via WiFi to FlashAir

I like to print without having to remove the SD card.  I'm trying to use a FlashAir SD card because I print mostly round models and USB can't keep up with the rate of small segments.

  • FlashAir W-04, 4.00.04 Firmware
  • MK3S using 3.9.0 firmware
  • 32GB FAT32 Partition
  • [FlashAir] SD card mode selected in settings

It's working fine as far as transferring files to the SD card in the printer over Wi-Fi.  The problem I'm having is that the contents listed when I select Print from SD isn't updating very fast.  I notice at times it's updated, but I don't know how long it's taking.  And when a new file is added, it isn't re-sorted.  If I pull the card and reinsert it, it sorts and shows the up to date contents.

Is this a bug, expected, or user error?  I expected it would check each time I select Print from SD and sort and list any file changes.

The printer isn't exactly running a multitasking OS, so it won't notice when the card changes behind its back. If you upload prints into a folder on the card, you can back up a level using the printer menu, then re-enter the subdirectory to get a refresh.

Thanks for the work-around of changing folders.  That helps.
