PLA filament constantly breaking at bondtech

i was probably up around 300 or so print hours before this started happening, but in the last week or so I have now have to clear the hot end five times as filament will seemingly at random, break right at the bondtech gears and stop feeding through.  I’m at a loss for what is consistently causing the break.   Any ideas?

While clearing the first break, I wound up having to fully replace the ptfe tube because the filament was very well jammed in there, but in subsequent breaks I’ve been able to push the filament through with a brass rod to clear it up.  I’ve also cleaned the nozzle several times using the cold pull method.  Any ideas?

Thank you!

Filament getting brittle maybe? Try a dehydrator or a fresh spool?

Yeah, I'd be amazed since it's essentially a brand new spool of Prusament white.  I feel like the first break happened when I had first opened it too.

Look at your filament feed path.

The Bondtech gear may have gotten loose and slipped...
