PID calibration reboots system

Hello ! It’s my first time assembling my 1st prusa mk3s printer. I have a BMG extruded and it’s running it’s custom firmware v3.10.

I’m running into a weird issue where in the calibration Wizard right after xyz passes and PID starts it immediately reboots the system every time.  This also happens if I manually try to calibrate the PID strictly from the menu.

I’ve double checked my connections to the board and made sure the PSU and heat bed power lines are on the right polarity. I have also tried a factory Clear All reset.

Any one have any other troubleshooting tips?

Thank you !

Have you contacted support via Chat?  That is where I would start.  Since you have modified the printer, they may not, but it is worth a try.

Thanks Chuck, I’ll give them a shot. Yes it’s not original prusa parts either so not sure how much help if any they can provide.

For anyone else running into a similar issue – I figured out my PSU was switched on 220v and once I changed it to 110v everything works fine!

Frustrating, but a happy outcome. I've done similar myself. Happy printing!

I will have to remember that one.  I am not sure I have heard of this cause.

It never happened to me, but I did witness a poor computer tech make the opposite mistake in Germany. Powering on an expensive IBM AT computer set to 110V plugged into 220V made for an interesting afternoon.
