Nozzle Fan Questions
I noticed that my nozzle fan turns on very seldom. With PLA i see it sometimes turn on, but with ABS i have never seen it on. It tests well when checked. What is the objective of this fan? IN my slic3r, the fan speed is greyed out, but fan speed is set to 30%. What does this mean? Very confused.

Hi @rbdopp,
Different types of filaments require different cooling.
If you look under the menu Filament settings / Cooling (in Expert mode) you will see that PLA has 100% fan, PETG approx. 50% and ABS no fan.
Sometimes it may be necessary to change these values. E.g. To print a new ABS fan shroud can feel good from a little cooling.
