MK3S Hotend removal

Hello,
my hotend jammed and I wanted to remove it to clean it. Unfortunately all tutorials I find are for MK3 (like this one - got me 83% through but I cannot do point 6). How do I remove the hotend itself? It seems to be enclosed more then in previous verision.

Here is a photo where I am now:

Thanks in advance 🙂

Re: MK3S Hotend removal

You have to remove the motor cover plate from the extruder body to free the hotend for removal. So as a result the idler door has to be removed as well introducing the pain of trying not to loose the nylon washers.

could you please also show that in a picture or elaborate a little more?

Do you mean screws from picutre 31 from this guide? https://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/5.+E-axis+assembly/1055?lang=en#s18573

The 3S doesn't actually use those washers anymore. I was surprised when I did the upgrade.

Yes step 31 needs to be undone along with 21 and 14.

Strange about the nylon washers being one existant now.
