lost idler spring
My idler spring popped out and after carefully searching and cleaning the room and printer it is no where to be found.   I have several now on order, but '...long ago in a galaxy far, far away...'  (1963 Brooklyn New York

I helped to repair old 16mm projectors. The spring that held down the door that held the exciter bulb (used for sound) would often fly away.  We would repair it by using a spring from a click style ball point pen.  Do you think that it would work as a temporary fix on my idler?

Hi Dweitz,
the Ballpoint pen sprint is probably not strong enough, but it's simple to try, why not give it a go.

@joantabb

You're right; but it was a good try!
