This happened to me also

This happened to me also several days ago. I switched the printer off and on and it turned back to normal. Since then it hasen't happened again.

RE:

That is what I been doing.  It does work afterwards but I'm just wondering what the reason is.

Is it a firmware bug or something?

Or is there a bigger concern?

It's much more likely to be a loose connection.  Try pulling and reseating your LCD plugs at both ends.

Cheerio,

RE: LCD screen concern

Most of the times that my printer does it, I can hear the "snap" of a static discharge as I touch the printer.  The LCD screen is relatively sensitive to static discharge and can garble the screen when it happens.  Generally, any action that causes a full screen refresh will return the screen to normal display.

Check the Ribbon cable

This can also be cause by improperly bent or twisted Ribbon from the LCD.

Good Luck
