LCD does not list the complete file name if it is long

Hi, when printing using a SD card, the LCD screen tries to show the complete name of the top file but after displaying certain characters, it stops displaying the rest. How come? Is there a way to remove this limitation?

Yes. Stick to short file names and ditch the special characters.

Changes with different versions of firmware.  I believe v .10.x had a file name and special character support for longer file names.

Since there is a limited width and the display is blinky when scrolling, suggest you keep your file names short and ditch the reliance on special characters.  Try the firmware upgrade - it may make a diff for you.

RE: LCD does not list the complete file name if it is long

IIRC, default PS filenames are at least 40 or so characters long, so if you add much more, I can envision it running into limits.

I would have sworn that there was a config option somewhere in PS to tweak the output .gcode file names but I can't seem to find it right now.

I would echo the suggestion to keep file names short and to use 'vanilla' characters only.

Cura does tend to produce shorter filenames by default, but they are not as descriptive.
