i3 MK3S with MK8 head upgrade to E3D V6 Head?

Hi, I've got an i3 MK3S, but it came with the older head with an MK8 nozzle, and I believe it's not an all-metal head.  Can I just buy a generic E3D V6 hotend and drop it in, or is the Prusa i3 version somewhat different in some regard?  (Does Prusa sell an upgrade for this head?)

Thanks!

do you mean, you have a clone?

all of the prusa printable part, STL's and Gcodes are available online, and theE3dV6 is also available in original quality and clone quality. be careful with the clones, as there are different heatbreaks, the one on the left is more correct. the one on the right is unsatisfactory for higher temperatures, and the middle one is just wrong!

Avoid the clones! A copy is just not as crisp as the original.

No, I bought an original, fully-assembled, MK3S, but apparently the first MK3S's shipped with a different hotend from the E3D V6.  All I know is that this hotend has the MK8 style nozzle and a teflon tube coming out the top (though then again, so do the E3D V6 all-metal hotends, which is confusing)

All original M2 and Mk3 printers come with original E3D V6 hotends.  All the original Mk1 printers came with an original E3D V6Lite hotend.

If your Mk3 printer does not have an original E3D V6 (all metal) hotend, then it is not an original Mk3.

And you really should think twice about installing a non-original E3D hotend.
