How to change default profiles in PrusaSlicer

Hi guys,

I'd like to enable "Label Objects" on all my print profiles in Slicer, but don't want to create 5 custom profiles for this since everything else will be standard.  How can I modify the default profiles?  I tried editing the PrusaSlicer.ini (I think that's the name, sorry not currently near my computer) file located in the PS "resources" folder, but that didn't seem to make any difference?

p.s. I understand that I may have to re-edit the profiles whenever a new profile version is released, but I'm ok with that.

Did you end up finding a solution to this? I would like to accomplish the same thing!

No. It seems the default profiles can not be changed. I just made copies of them and modified as needed.

Yes, its a bit cumbersome, but....
On macOS the system profiles are cached in:

/Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/PrusaSlicer/vendor/PrusaResearch.ini
I wouldn't recommend it but you can edit all the system printers here.

(I dont have Prusaslicer installed on windows, so dont know the path)

For example I can change the default filament colors to all reds of my MK3S MMU2S by editing line 4396. (Note that I commented the original and copy pasted a new line with the change, then I can easily go back)

C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\PrusaSlicer\vendor\PrusaResearch.ini

The actual command is

gcode_label_objects = 1

In the PrusaResearch.ini file, there are sections that inherit other sections, so I just added the line under [print:*MK3*] and it's now in the default for every layer and speed option I have.

What version of PrusaSlicer are you running. I tried adding gcode_label_objects but no luck. Also the PrusaResearch.ini looks very different compared to mine.

Heres a upload of my .ini for 2.2.0
