Hot extruder stepper motor.
Hello.
I have a question, is your extruder stepper motor also warm up to 50 degrees of Celsius when you prints? Other stepper motors they have a temperature of around 30 degrees of Celsius, but extruder stepper motor it's much warmer. In my other printer (not Prusa) this is not happening.
Thank you in advance for your answer.
Re: Hot extruder stepper motor.
Have you seen the search function in the forum? Have you tried it?
Re: Hot extruder stepper motor.
I believe that if Prusa tech team could install a heat sink on it then it would dissipate a lot of heat from the motor housing.
Re: Hot extruder stepper motor.
P.S. I think that since the print fan blows air to cool the extruded filament, it blows particles into it too so, just IF an air filter is fixed on the inlet it (which I did) could prevent such particles to settle between layers and weaken the adherence.
Re: Hot extruder stepper motor.
So everyone struggles to get more air flow out of the fan and you attach a filter to the fans inlet? Maybe better put the printer in a cleaner environment. That is what i would rather do.
Re: Hot extruder stepper motor.
I have two different printers in the same environment. In Prusa Mk3, the extruder stepper motor heats up, and in the second printer, no. I just wanted to know if in your Mk3 printers is the same problem. Is it normal?
