Re: Going Octo but wich hardware?

With PI zero you can hide it inside the main case, no additional cables.
With RPI 2b+/3 you can make time lapses and all the other more powerful stuff.

At the end it's up to you what's use cases.

The only benefit you will get if you switch from 1B+ to zero W is the space and no cable.
If you compare the specs, zero W is just slightly faster which you could also achieve with fan+overclocking on 1B+. But at the end they can run both Octoprint without any issues.

Re: Going Octo but wich hardware?

No soldering required.

I believe this is wrong. You still need to solder the pin header to the RPi Zero. It will then just plug into the Einsy board.

Thanks for clarification. It does make sense now why Thorben gets mixed information about this. If you buy Rpi Zero W already MK3 ready, you don't need to prepare it (no soldering). If you buy it with pins presoldered and you just need to cut out the unneeded ones, also no soldering. But if you get a stock one then you have to solder like in the guidelines.
