Filament slipping out of extruder

Hello, I recently fixed my Prusa i3 MK3s, when I had to replace a few parts. after the repair, the printer was up and running until it received a "thermal runaway" error. Although I had started to notice an issue where the filament would not stay in the extruder earlier, I dismissed it. After fixing the thermal runaway error by installing a silicone sock onto the hotel, it would work, but the filament would "fall" out of the extruder. No matter what I try: tightening/loosening the idler, adjusting Z-level, recalibrating XYZ, nothing seems to work. I tried removing the F/S cover, and it seemed to do something, but nothing really meaningful. The only other issues that I could think that could be causing this are A. I am using a replacement spring for the idler door that isn't identical to the original one. and B. the hotel is secure, but it is crooked, not n a way that I would think would impact the printer. Thanks so much! Also, whenever the filament "falls" out, I can push it back in. This happens ~every 5 minutes.
