Filament sensor problem with PC+CF material and 3.9.0 firmware. Was not a problem on 3.7.2 firmware

A filament sensor issue cropped up when upgrading from 3.7.2 to 3.9.0 on one of our Prusa MK3S machines.

When printing with Priline PC+CF, we are getting false filament sensor warnings several times through the print. The detection ball moves correctly and all seems well with the printer. We haven't had this issue in the past with 3.7.2 and we aren't seeing it with PLA.

When the problem happens we have to head over and unload and reload the filament and it starts going again. It's a nuisance and it looks like we'll be forced to downgrade at this point.

Has anyone else experienced this? What's a solid debug path?

I do have exactly the same problem. Is there is a fix in the meantime ?

I did deactivate the filament sensor in the settings and no problem anymore. But it is an ongoing workaround solution.
