Filament sensor false positives

After updating the firware to 3.3.1, hoping it would be fixed, but to no avail.

I am having this problem since firmware 3.2.0 (which should have improved the filament sensor).
After upgrading the filament gives me a lot of false positives (this has happend with all different kinds of PLA colors: white, nuclear green, black).
Asking to unload filament and insert new.

Before this firmware the problem never happend, so I am inclined to downgrade the firmware again.

I don't see much issues by others, what can be the cause?

Re: Filament sensor false positives

As a first step, try cleaning the sensor. There is a hole in the extruder body where you can blow compressed air.

Done that now, although the previous time downgrading the FW solved the problem instantaneously, without having to clean the sensor.

Re: Filament sensor false positives

For a while printing went fine after cleaning, but today it gave me a false positive again 😡

This is really annoying, luckily it happens during the day, because at night the whole house would be awake.
