Filament not loading after PTFE Tube Replacement

Recently I had a filament jam in my printer. No big deal - I removed and replaced the PTFE tube.

However, now when I try to load filament, it gets jammed. Based on how far it goes, it looks like it's going through most/all of the PTFE tube. I verified that the filament fits through the PTFE tube on its own, and stuck the provided needle up the nozzle. The needle goes up all the way with no problems. The nozzle is still heating up just fine, too.

I'm not sure where to go from here. Help is very much appreciated!

Bit of a pain - but I would take the PTFE tube out and look at it... Not all are created equal.

Make sure it still looks perfect. Hole centered - on both ends. No crimps.

Try sliding the filament you use through it. Should be a good fit, with no tight spots.

Thanks - I tried that once already and the filament slid through just fine. I'll do it again to make sure the hole is centered - I didn't think to check that the first time!

Did you do anything with the nozzle during ptfe tube change?

Since the PTFE tube check out good - it sure sounds like an obstruction in the nozzle.

The needle won't clear those and good chance of damaging the nozzle in the process.

If you could get a filament all the way in - and melted - a cold pull should work.

Same argument for cleaning filament. You have to use a head temperature at or above whatever is stuck in there.

I hate to recommend removing the nozzle and examining it - but you might have to. Just follow the procedure to install it correctly.
