Extruder motor overheating

Extruder motor overheating

After running for about two hours, the motor gets too hot to touch.  If I had to estimate, it's somewhere between 80 and 100 degrees.  I'm concerned for the longevity of the motor and did not find a potentiometer near the plugin spot on the board.

It is a MK3S+ that I got near the start of March

They do get hot.  When I close the enclosure door, even hotter.   There are some mods you can do that add a wrap around fan across the motor - but they add a lot of mass to the print head, which is not great for your print quality...
