Extruder Idler Clicking

I am having an issue with my MK3S Idlers clicking after about an hour of printing. Print is looking good but I have to push down on Filament to get the clicking to stop. I tightened the Idler door tension and appears to be OK. Gears also appears to be aligned. Any suggestions on other things to try?

Needs an increase idler tension;  twists in filament; nozzle has cooked filament inside reducing orifice size and heating efficiency (use cleaning filament to remove the bad stuff); extruding more filament than the hot end can actually extrude (volumetric flow limit); etc.

Thanks @tim-m30.

As you have suggested I have ordered some cleaning filament and tightened the idler spring. I'm running some my beloved Prusament though for a few prints to confirm all is working. I'll let you know how it goes.

Usually happens when the extruder gears are unable to push the filament further towards the nozzle. Over time, the gears grind away the filament, until they can't grab it anymore.
