Doubtful statistics numbers

Until today I was not aware of the existence of statistics figues in the i3 MK3S+. But today I paid attention to them.

I received Anna, my first Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ (factory assembled) on August 27 and started printing immediately. This is now 72 days ago.

I received Berta, my second Original Prusa i3 MK3S+ (kit) on September 23, assembled it and started printing on September 25. This is now 42 days ago.

The todays statistics numbers of Anna read 1612.83 meters filament and 89 d 10 h 15 m usage, which is roughly 2146 hours.

The todays statistics numbers of Berta read 1249.59 meters filament and 17 d 23 h 17 m usage, which is roughly 431 hours.

When I calculate filament meters per hour, it is 0.75 for Anna and 2.9 for Berta. My printing habits on both printers were more or less the same and I printed similar objects on both.

I consider the numbers for Berta as plausible, however those of Anna as impossible. First of all I have Anna only since 72 days, so the print time of 89 days is at least dubious. Second the ratio 0.75 meter filament per hour is not believable for normal prints.

My question: Do the statistics figures of the i3 MK3S+ have the reputation of being reliable or not?

Thanks for your answers!

Roebi

RE: Doubtful statistics numbers

No they don’t. There are multiple threads about this here and issues on the mk3 firmware GitHub.

Thank you. I found the threads you mentioned. Is seems the statistic counts are quite useless.

I would not reply on the prusa for good stats.  I use Octofarm.
